Brenda, a native North Carolinian, is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Sociology. Upon graduation, she went to work as a public historian at the NC Department of Cultural Resources at Brunswick Town/Ft. Anderson State Historic Site, retiring after 31 years of service.
Brenda has been a bookseller at Two Sisters Bookery since 2014 sharing her expertise and love of cultural and natural history, especially that of the Cape Fear Region and all things North Carolina. She generously imparts her knowledge with anyone who asks and is able to direct our customers to historical and nature books and tourist sites based on their interests. You can find Brenda at Two Sisters Bookery on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Susan is a native of North Carolina and graduate of The University of North Carolina, Greensboro with a BFA and was a student of CFCC with Early Childhood Education focus. Her early career had her on the road as a Theater Electrician and until age 42 when she went on to teach Pre-K until her retirement at age 64.
Susan has been a bookseller at Two Sisters Bookery since 2005. The combination of her experience in theater and early childhood education make her a brilliant storyteller leaving both children and adults spellbound. She is our own expert on children’s literature and is able to find just the right title for the children in your life. She is an avid reader of all fiction, especially by authors of Southern Lit. If you tell her your last favorite book, she’ll find your next. You can find Susan at Two Sisters Bookery on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.
